Overview

Yvonne Reinwald areas of interest include biomaterials and scaffolds, cell and material interactions, artificial growth environments through bioreactor design; as well as the standardisation, characterisation and translation of regenerative therapies for the clinic and manufacture. Yvonne has experience in the utilisation of biomaterials for the fabrication of various types of scaffolds and biomedical implants. Areas of research include investigating the interaction between biocompatible materials and cells of various origin, such as primary human derived and animal cells, progenitor cells and immortalised cell lines.

For the replacement and regeneration of tissue defects, the implants biocompatibility is of great importance. We offer biocompatibility testing and studies on cell-material interaction for implant materials.
