Becky Coxhill

Overview

Becky is a Microbiologist at MTIF.

She carried out an undergraduate degree in BSc Biomedical Science (Hons)  at Nottingham Trent University, and graduated in 2016. As part of this, completed a 3-month placement with Professor S J Forsythe, working on biofilms in neonatal feeding tubes.

Worked as a QC Microbiology Technician at Reckitt, a large international pharmaceutical manufacturing company, from 2016 to 2019.

Joined NTU as a Technician in 2019 working in a Containment Level 2 teaching facility. Promoted to Acting Senior Technician in 2021, and a permanent Senior Technician in 2022. As of September 2023, Becky has been working for MTIF as the Microbiologist, setting up a commercial laboratory facility along with Dr Samantha McLean and Dr Adam Varney, and is collaborating with external partners.
