Supporting you through all stages of your new product development
Our range of services have been designed to ensure you are supported through all stages of your new product development as you go from bench to bedside. We do this by bringing together the skills of our wide range of partners.
Expertise
Nottingham Trent University’s academic team consists of experts working in healthcare related research and development, across a wide range of disciplines. The academic team can contribute to concept development and appraisal, technical due diligence, proof of concept, prototyping and more.
Business Intelligence
Medilink has a wealth of knowledge to help life science businesses. Whether its market size and segmentation, understanding the competition, or looking at financial implications, their team can assist you.
Product development and prototyping
Our partners can help you develop a workable solution and prototype. CHEATA has a deep understanding of the NHS’s requirements in relation to adopting and using new products.
Clinical trials
The NHS Trusts are key partners for the design, development and implementation of clinical trials. They provide clinical input and expertise, have access to patient groups and clinicians and can configure clinical trials in line with your specific product development.
Regulatory support
Our team can provide regulatory support across the total product development and commercialisation cycle. Our partner CHEATA has key expertise in this area, as do the NHS Trusts we work with. Ensuring the regulatory requirements are adhered to is a key part of any medical device development project.
Scale up and manufacturing support
We can link you to organisations that have capabilities across a wide range of manufacturing disciplines. Whether you are looking to outsource to organisations that manufacture for you, or looking for support on how to manufacture yourselves, we can connect you to the right partner.
Access to finance
Financial support can be made available to you throughout your programme. Medilink has grants available for tactical support at various stages of the process. These can be used to access specific consultancy services such as business intelligence and regulatory support. BioCity has funding available for companies that are accepted onto its programme and those reaching the point of commercialisation.
